The Battery Safety Engineer ensures that all systems operate safely under all conditions.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly detail-focused Battery Safety Engineer to ensure the safety of Exoben’s battery systems.

In this role, you will identify risks, design protection systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will work closely with battery design, BMS and testing teams to ensure that safety is built into every stage of development.

This role requires strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to risk.

Key Responsibilities

You will analyze safety risks in battery systems and components.

You will design and implement protection mechanisms to prevent failures.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards and certifications.

You will work with BMS and thermal teams to improve system safety.

You will support testing and validation of safety performance.

You will investigate failures and recommend corrective actions.

You will develop safety guidelines and documentation.

You will ensure safe operation under different conditions including high temperature and heavy usage.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. A PhD is preferred.

You have experience in battery systems or safety engineering.

You understand risk analysis and failure prevention.

You are detail-oriented and focused on safety.

You are practical and able to solve complex problems.

You are a strong communicator.
