About Exoben

Exoben Inc. is building advanced battery systems designed for performance, safety and real-world conditions.

The way a battery cell is structured internally plays a major role in how it performs, how long it lasts and how safe it is.

Cell architecture is where chemistry meets physical design.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Cell Architecture Engineer to design and optimize the internal structure of Exoben’s battery cells.

In this role, you will define how materials are arranged inside the cell, including layering, spacing and form factor.

You will focus on improving energy density, efficiency and manufacturability.

You will work closely with electrochemical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are both high-performing and scalable.

This role requires precision and strong technical understanding.

Key Responsibilities

You will design internal structures of battery cells for LithioX™ and SodioX™ platforms.

You will define cell formats such as cylindrical, pouch or prismatic designs.

You will optimize layout to improve energy density and performance.

You will ensure designs support thermal stability and safety.

You will collaborate with electrochemical teams to align materials with structure.

You will work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are scalable.

You will support testing and validation of cell architecture.

You will identify design improvements and implement solutions.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. A PhD is preferred.

You have strong understanding of battery cell structures and materials.

You have experience in design and development of battery components.

You are detail-oriented and focused on precision.

You are able to connect design with performance outcomes.

You are a strong team collaborator.

Why This Role Matters

This role defines how Exoben’s battery cells are built internally.

You ensure cells are efficient, safe and ready for scale.

Your work directly impacts performance and cost.
