Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) to lead Exoben’s operations across its core sectors: battery technology, lithium extraction, and EV infrastructure. The VP of Operations will oversee all aspects of production, supply chain, logistics, and project management to ensure that the company’s operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. This role will require close collaboration with senior leadership, engineering, finance, and sustainability teams to streamline operations and support Exoben’s rapid growth and strategic vision.

This senior leadership role demands a deep understanding of operational management, experience in large-scale industrial operations, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with Exoben’s overall business objectives. Oversee operations across battery production, lithium extraction facilities, and EV infrastructure projects, ensuring that each sector operates at peak efficiency.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of production processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization techniques to enhance production across all sectors.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. Ensure that supply chains are resilient, cost-effective, and capable of supporting Exoben’s global operations. Develop strategies to manage supplier relationships and mitigate risks.
  • Manage logistics and distribution networks to ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and products. Optimize transportation routes, warehousing, and inventory management to meet operational goals while minimizing environmental impact.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major projects, including new production facilities, lithium extraction sites, and EV infrastructure developments. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure that operational capabilities can support new product launches and technological innovations. Collaborate on the scale-up of new technologies from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Manage the operational budget, ensuring that expenditures align with financial goals. Monitor financial performance across all operations, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational initiatives. Ensure that operations meet or exceed established benchmarks for productivity, quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations. Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety, minimize environmental impact, and ensure sustainable practices across all sectors.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team. Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to operational leaders, plant managers, and project managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across all teams.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders, including the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), to ensure that operational decisions support broader business goals, including sustainability, technological advancement, and financial growth.
  • Drive the integration of sustainable practices into all aspects of operations, from resource extraction to manufacturing and distribution. Ensure that operational activities support Exoben’s commitment to environmental stewardship and carbon reduction.
  • Identify potential risks to operations, including supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, and regulatory changes. Develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Leverage new technologies, including automation, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 solutions, to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Ensure that Exoben’s operations are at the forefront of technological innovation in the energy sector.
  • Ensure that operations consistently deliver high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that operations are aligned with customer needs and market demand.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, or Operations is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of senior-level experience in operational management, preferably in the energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Proven track record of managing large-scale operations across multiple sites or sectors.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of production management, supply chain optimization, logistics, and project management in complex, global industrial environments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, or Industrial Management.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the energy, battery manufacturing, lithium extraction, or EV infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to manage operations in high-growth, technology-driven industries.
