Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance) to lead and manage Exoben’s financial operations across its core sectors: battery technology, lithium extraction, and EV infrastructure. As VP of Finance, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, managing financial risk, and ensuring the company’s financial health. You will work closely with senior leadership to support business growth, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of Exoben as we expand our global footprint and invest in innovative energy solutions.
This senior leadership role requires extensive experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and financial management, with a deep understanding of the financial challenges and opportunities in the energy or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with Exoben’s growth objectives and business goals. Provide financial leadership to support decision-making in the company’s core sectors—battery technology, lithium extraction, and EV infrastructure.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across all divisions, ensuring that financial projections are accurate, realistic, and aligned with strategic goals. Monitor budget performance and adjust financial plans as necessary to support dynamic business needs.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership, board members, and investors, providing insights into financial performance and future outlook.
- Identify and manage financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks. Implement strategies to mitigate risk exposure, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and protect the company’s assets.
- Oversee capital management, including managing liquidity, working capital, and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets. Ensure that Exoben maintains a strong capital structure and has the financial resources to invest in innovation and growth.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Work closely with business development teams to evaluate opportunities that align with Exoben’s strategic vision.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and capital markets. Lead efforts to raise debt or equity financing to support the company’s expansion plans, ensuring that financing terms are favorable and aligned with the company’s financial objectives.
- Oversee tax planning strategies to optimize Exoben’s tax position and ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations. Work closely with tax advisors to manage tax liabilities and take advantage of tax incentives where applicable.
- Develop and implement strong internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with financial regulations, and adherence to corporate governance standards. Ensure that all financial operations comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives to provide financial insights that drive business strategy. Support cross-functional teams with financial analysis and strategic recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency across all sectors. Work with operational teams to optimize supply chain costs, streamline production expenses, and enhance profitability in battery manufacturing, lithium extraction, and EV infrastructure development.
- Oversee the management of Exoben’s investment portfolio, ensuring that investments are aligned with the company’s risk tolerance and long-term financial goals. Monitor the performance of financial assets and make adjustments as necessary.
- Lead initiatives to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into financial planning and reporting. Ensure that Exoben’s financial strategy supports the company’s sustainability goals and that ESG metrics are included in financial disclosures.
- Leverage financial technologies (FinTech) to enhance reporting, forecasting, and financial management processes. Implement advanced financial analytics tools to improve data-driven decision-making and financial visibility across the organization.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Serve as a key point of contact for investors, analysts, and financial stakeholders. Provide transparent and consistent communication about Exoben’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, and future growth prospects.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure the financial stability of the company in the event of economic downturns, market volatility, or other financial disruptions. Lead financial crisis management efforts, ensuring that the company can respond quickly and effectively to unforeseen challenges.
