Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Software & Data Integration to lead the design, development, and implementation of software platforms for managing Exoben’s large-scale EV charging networks. In this role, you will oversee the creation of robust, scalable software solutions that integrate data analytics, real-time monitoring, and user management tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Exoben’s charging networks operate efficiently, providing seamless user experiences and enabling data-driven insights that optimize the performance and profitability of the infrastructure.

This senior leadership role requires deep expertise in software development, data integration, and large-scale system management, with a focus on creating platforms that support the needs of EV charging networks and their users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Platform Development: Lead the design and development of comprehensive software platforms that manage Exoben’s EV charging networks. Ensure that platforms are scalable, secure, and capable of supporting large-scale deployments, including thousands of charging stations across multiple regions.
  • Data Integration and Analytics: Oversee the integration of real-time data analytics into software platforms to provide insights into charging station performance, energy consumption, user behavior, and network efficiency. Leverage big data and machine learning tools to enable predictive analytics and optimize charging network operations.
  • User Management Tools: Develop user management systems that allow customers to easily interact with charging networks, including features for account management, payment processing, and real-time station availability. Ensure that software platforms are user-friendly and provide a seamless experience for both private users and commercial operators.
  • Real-Time Monitoring and Control: Implement software solutions that provide real-time monitoring and control of charging station operations. Ensure that platforms offer live insights into station health, energy distribution, uptime, and fault conditions, enabling remote control and rapid response to operational issues.
  • Cloud-Based Infrastructure: Lead the development of cloud-based solutions that centralize the management of Exoben’s EV charging networks. Ensure that software platforms are optimized for cloud performance, enabling remote access, scalability, and integration with other cloud-based services and systems.
  • IoT and Smart Charging Integration: Oversee the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and smart charging features into Exoben’s software platforms. Enable communication between charging stations, vehicles, and grid systems, ensuring efficient load management, demand response, and V2G (vehicle-to-grid) capabilities.
  • Data Security and Privacy: Ensure that all software platforms meet the highest standards for data security and user privacy. Implement robust encryption, authentication protocols, and compliance with global data protection regulations such as GDPR. Safeguard charging network data and protect user information from potential cybersecurity threats.
  • Customizable Dashboards and Reporting: Develop customizable dashboards that provide stakeholders with real-time data on charging network performance. Ensure that dashboards offer detailed reports on energy usage, user activity, revenue generation, and system health, providing key insights for decision-making.
  • API and System Integration: Oversee the development of APIs that allow integration with external systems, including utilities, energy providers, and fleet management platforms. Ensure that software solutions are interoperable with third-party systems to enhance network connectivity and operational efficiency.
  • Energy Management and Load Balancing: Develop software tools that enable real-time energy management, load balancing, and grid integration. Ensure that platforms can optimize power distribution across multiple charging stations, reducing energy consumption and minimizing operational costs.
  • User Experience and Interface Design: Lead the design of user interfaces (UI) that prioritize ease of use, responsiveness, and accessibility. Ensure that software platforms offer intuitive interfaces for both end-users and system operators, streamlining processes such as charging session management and network monitoring.
  • Mobile Application Development: Oversee the development of mobile applications that provide users with access to charging stations, real-time charging status, and payment options. Ensure that apps are compatible with various devices and provide seamless integration with the broader software platform.
  • Collaboration with Engineering and Product Teams: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to align software development with Exoben’s overall product strategy. Ensure that software platforms are integrated with the company’s hardware solutions, supporting the full functionality of EV charging stations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics to drive continuous improvements in software performance, network efficiency, and user satisfaction. Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and analyzed to inform strategic decisions and optimize the charging infrastructure.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all software systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including those related to data protection, cybersecurity, and EV infrastructure. Stay informed about emerging regulations and ensure that Exoben’s platforms remain compliant.
  • Project Management and Delivery: Lead software development projects from concept to deployment, managing timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure that software platforms are delivered on time and meet performance, security, and scalability goals.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest advancements in software development, data analytics, and EV charging technologies. Continuously explore new methods and technologies to improve software platforms and ensure that Exoben remains at the cutting edge of the industry.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build and lead a team of talented software engineers, data scientists, and developers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, providing mentorship and technical guidance to ensure the success of the team.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on software platform performance, data analytics, and system integrations. Communicate key insights and recommendations to senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or Cloud Computing is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development, data integration, or systems architecture, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure management. Proven track record of leading successful software development projects, preferably in the energy or transportation sectors.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in cloud-based software platforms, data analytics, real-time monitoring systems, and IoT integration. Strong knowledge of software development frameworks, databases, and APIs.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Extensive experience in implementing data security measures, privacy protections, and compliance with global data protection regulations. Expertise in cybersecurity best practices for cloud-based platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, or Cloud Computing.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in software development, cloud architecture, or data analytics, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in software platforms for energy infrastructure, transportation systems, or EV charging networks.
